CALSTART created the the US-China Clean Truck and Bus Tech Forum Program (China Clean Truck) with the U.S. Department of Commerce to facilitate advanced truck and bus technology exports to China. The China Clean Truck program will do this by providing participating companies with information about market volumes and trends, relevant policies, potential contacts, and guidance for doing business in China. A major benefit for participants will be face-to-face symposiums in China with leading companies and agencies.
BACKGROUND - China Clean Truck
The US-China Clean Truck and Bus Tech Forum aims to assist US companies interested in the Chinese medium and heavy duty vehicle market. Key program elements include:
* SYMPOSIUM: Organize 2012 and 2013 China Clean Truck Forums with Chinese and US partners in Beijing and Shanghai
* GUIDE: Produce first-ever China Clean Truck Markets and Business Guide for US companies
* RESEARCH: Provide custom Chinese truck & bus market information and contacts with ITA partners
* CONNECT: Assist Chinese delegations to visit leading US truck and bus technology companies and conferences
* POLICY: Inform Chinese policy-makers on environmental, economic benefits of Chinese commercial vehicle policies
The first US-China Clean Truck Forum will take place in Beijing in June 2012.
