The Municipal Climate Change Action Centre and All One Sky Foundation are currently developing the second phase of the Climate Resilience Express project in order to help small communities in Alberta to build resilience to the impacts of a changing climate. For more information on Climate Resilience Express, click here.
We are conducting a survey to help us understand the needs of Alberta municipalities with respect to support for climate adaptation and resilience planning. Climate adaptation (resilience) is about being prepared for climate change impacts, and implementing actions to reduce negative impacts.
Survey results will not be published but will be used internally in order to inform the development of this initiative and our delivery approach.

Questions about this survey may be directed to Laura De Carolis at
Thank you for your participation.

* 1. Contact information

* 2. What steps has your municipality taken to build resilience and adapt to the impacts of climate change? Check all that apply.

* 3. Would your municipality be interested in participating in Climate Resilience Express? Participating municipalities will receive a facilitated one day workshop where stakeholders will: assess local climate trends and projections, prioritize climate-related risks, and develop an action plan to address priority risks. Each community will receive a publishable climate resilience action plan.

* 4. The total value of developing a climate resilience action plan for your community is approximately $17,000. If we are required to charge for a portion of these costs, would your municipality be able to make a financial contribution in order to participate in Climate Resilience Express?

* 5. If you answered yes to question 3, would your municipality be available to host and participate in a one day workshop between June 2017 and October 2017? For a successful workshop, we require at least 10 stakeholders from your community (e.g. municipal staff, elected officials, regional partners) to attend.
