EMM Rainbow Initiative Jan-Feb 2023 rev.

EMM Rainbow Initiative Survey January-February 2023

Episcopal Migration Ministries (EMM) is inaugurating the Rainbow Initiative in 2023 in order to better serve LGBTQ+ people who have fled their countries of origin in search of safety. The Rainbow Initiative will work with Episcopal congregations to bring visibility and aid to LGBTQ+ forced migrants, with a focus on activities in June 2023 including Pride marches and services, and World Refugee Day. In the coming year, EMM will also review and revise its materials and procedures in order to ensure that they are fully inclusive of LGBTQ+ forced migrants.

Planning for the Rainbow Initiative continues, and includes gathering information and ideas from people who have an interest in helping LGBTQ+ forced migrants including refugees, asylum seekers, and others. That is the purpose of this survey. No special knowledge about the topic is required to participate.

All responses to this survey will remain anonymous. We ask for information about you only in order to remain in contact about possibilities for your involvement with this initiative. You can opt out of our communications at any time, and we pledge to not share your personal information without your explicit consent.

Please contact RainbowInitiative@episcopalchurch.org with any questions you might have.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this brief survey.
