B.C. Public Service 2022 Bargaining Survey – September 2021 |
The collective agreements between the BCGEU and the Province of B.C. covering nearly 30,000 workers employed in the public service are due to expire March 31, 2022. These agreements cover ministries in the public service as well as several boards, agencies, and commissions which have been designated through the Public Service Act.
The BCGEU Public Service Bargaining Unit is the single largest bargaining unit in B.C. and is made up of a main agreement covering all public service workers, along with five component agreements which cover specific occupational groups.
As part of the bargaining process, our union will be implementing several initiatives to seek member input. This survey is one of many opportunities members will have to provide valuable, direct input on the collective bargaining process.
In addition, our union will be holding a bargaining conference in preparation for bargaining and we want to hear directly from members in order to best reflect your issues related to the collective agreements.
