We are planning on going to Mexico for one of our summer mission trips in 2019. After going over dates with the host origination, the only week available is July 20th - July 27th. We understand all students will be going back to school the Wednesday and Thursday after we return. This survey is to determine who will be able to go on this mission trip.
The total cost for this trip will be around $800 per person, depending on flight cost.
Not sure what we will be doing, but possible activities include light construction and repairs, painting, sorting clothing and interacting with the children (soccer, crafts, reading, etc.)
We will be working at the Refuge Ranch, which is an adoptive home for abandoned children that are located in central Mexico. The children receive a homeschool education and find the love, nurture, freedom, and structure necessary to become all that God wants them to be. More info can be found HERE.
The Refuge Camp is located in Tepetlixpa, which is about a one and a half hours south of Mexico City.
A few requirements you will need to keep in mind are:
1. Passports are required.
2. Anyone under 18 will need a notarized consent from BOTHparents.
3. Tetanus shots should be up to date. Some recommend hepatitis shots - check with your family doctor if in doubt.
So with that in mind please vote below if you can or can not make that date. By voting YES you are not committing yourself to the trip. We are just checking availability.
We will be having an informational meeting this fall. Date and time to be announced later.
