1. MA AFCC Scholarship Application for the MA AFCC Chapter Conferenc at Regis College

Each year, the Massachusetts Chapter offers up to 2 full scholarships for Probation Officers serving in the Probate and Family Court to attend the Annual Chapter Conference. These scholarships are given in the name of Hon. Sheila McGovern. Judge McGovern served as First Justice of the Middlesex Division of the Probate and Family Court from 1980 until her death in 2002.  Appointed to the bench in 1974, after having served as a court clerk and assistant register for many years, Judge McGovern was known for her warmth and devotion to children and families, using the court process to improve their lives. 

The 2019 Conference: A Perspective on Removal: Social Science Research, Case Law, and Best Practices takes place at Regis College on March 29, 2019. The McGovern Scholarship will be offered for attendance at this program.
