SEND Information Report Consultation - Updated May 2018 |
Ormison Victory Academy are consulting interested parents on our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Information Report to be published on our website in September. This report is necessary under the SEND Reforms and seeks to clearly set out our approach to SEND.
As a result of the new Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice, Schools must work with the Local Authority to “…publish a local offer, setting out in one place information about provision they expect to be available for children and young people in their area who have SEND, including those who do not have EHC (Education & Health Care) Plans” (SEN Code of Practice for 0 to 25 years – statutory guidance- SEN Local Offer - Clause 30)

The SEND Information Report has two key purposes:
•To provide clear, comprehensive and accessible information about the provision available
•To make provision more responsive to local needs and aspirations by directly involving children and young people with SEND, parents and carers, and service providers in its development and review.
