2026 Plumas County Multi-Jurisdictional Local Hazard Mitigation Survey

Public Outreach Survey

Plumas County, the City of Portola, several special districts, and community stakeholders are updating our Local Hazard Mitigation Plan, which helps the county look ahead and identify mitigation actions and projects to make the Plumas County Planning Area more resilient to identified hazards of concern to the County. Your input is very important to ensure local community issues and concerns are considered throughout the hazard mitigation planning process.
Mitigation actions are defined as an action that reduces or eliminates the long-term risk of disasters on people and property. Mitigation actions, focusing on risk reduction measures, can help communities prepare for and reduce the impact of natural hazards like flooding and wildfires. Please see Plumas County’s website for additional formation on mitigation and mitigation actions.
