The Michigan Museums Association seeks proposals for half-day workshops to take place during our annual conference. The conference will be October 19-21, 2026 in the Oakland County area. Workshops will be held at various venues in the Oakland County area on Monday, October 19 from 9a-12p and 1-4p and on Wednesday, October 21 from 1-4p.
Half-day workshops are up to three hours long and focus on a variety of content areas that are relevant for museum professionals and volunteers who come from all sizes and types of museums from throughout Michigan. We will use this framework as a content guide for selecting workshop topics. Please use it as a guide as you consider your workshop proposal.
Workshops are typically held for smaller groups of 20-30 people, but size is flexible according to presenter and space. MMA will provide participant name tags but no other supplies.

Workshop proposals will be reviewed on a first-come first-served basis and will be accepted through April 10th. Notification of selection will be announced by April 30th.
