We are considering reducing the term limit for elected board directors and appointed committee members from nine consecutive years (structured as three, three-year terms) to six consecutive years (structured as two, three-year terms).

We are proposing this change because shorter term limits benefit boards and organizations by providing a regular introduction of new perspectives and diversity that can lead to a dynamic and evolving board composition focused on innovation, engagement, and adaptability.

If we adopt a six consecutive year term limit (structured as two, three-year terms) for elected board directors and appointed committee members, it would come into effect January 2026.

Anyone elected or appointed in 2025 for their third term would serve the entirety of their third term. Individuals applying for reelection or reappointment in 2026 would only be eligible if they have not already served two, three-year terms as a board or committee member or combination of the two roles.
