Part two of this workshop runs from January 28 through February 27, meeting bi-weekly on Wednesdays from 12 to 1 pm CT.
Part 2: Strengthening Strategies for Lifestyle Change
Goal: Focus on strengthening diabetes management with deeper attention to meal planning, stress management, and sleep:
Session 4: Managing Stress for Blood Sugar Control
- Learn how stress impacts your body and blood sugar, and how to recognize your stress responses.
- Explore practical stress management strategies and leave with simple tools to support self-care.
Session 5: Meal Planning and Grocery Shopping Strategies
- Learn to navigate grocery stores, read labels, and make smart, healthy choices.
- Discover meal-planning tips, avoid common shopping pitfalls, and try a fun challenge.
Session 6: The Role of Sleep
- Learn how sleep affects hormone balance, insulin sensitivity, and overall health.
- Discover practical tips for better sleep, recognize signs of poor rest, and create your own sleep-friendly environment.
