Network based emergency notification system allowing for instant district/site wide communication including paging and text message over bell system displays.
Even out walkways to remove ‘trip and fall’ areas.

Secure the classroom areas of campus during school hours with decorative wrought-iron fences and gates.

Limit the number of access points onto the campus during the school day and/or during non-school hours.
Increase outdoor lighting to improve campus visibility during night.

Update the look and feel of our campuses by repainting exterior walls, overhangs and ceiling tiles.

* 6. Site and Landscaping: This category includes all areas outside of the buildings - circulation, parking, athletic fields, etc.

Improve green spaces around outside of campus and along the classroom aisles.
Water storage and water conservation initiatives.

Exterior LED pedestrian & landscape lighting for all area including school entry, athletic facilities, parking lot entries, etc.
Internet connected school weather station & school webcams of campus facilities - entrance, parking lot, athletic fields, etc.

* 7. Energy Conservation: This category contains items that contribute to the conservation of energy and resources on campus.

Upgrade obsolete energy management system to monitor usage and conserve electricity.
Implement cost effective way of storing electricity from solar system. Using stored power to offset evening events and 24-hour power consumption.
Replace single pane windows with new energy efficient windows. These initiatives would bring our campuses up to date with title 24 energy codes.
Charging stations for electric cars.
Increase the installations of long life high efficiency LED bulbs wherever possible.

* 8. Campus Life: Change the look and feel of our campus by building a college-like atmosphere.

Display campus passion using logos and colorful signage. Focus on campus branding to build pride for our campus, students and staff.
Paint campus with updated color schemes. These colors would add building distinction, simplified campus navigation and bring life to our campus.
Build student centric facilities that are the mix of the atmosphere of places like Starbucks, Google and Apple to enhance student collaboration.
Building an environment where students want to learn.
Improvements that make students feel involved and impactful of their environment.
Increased access to computers throughout campus - in classrooms, upgrades in the library, etc.
Build a dedicated space for a ‘College and Career Center.
Update outdoor space to provide seating and meeting areas for students.
