Understanding Access to Mental Health Support for Men and Older Adults

Welcome to the Cheshire and Merseyside Mental Health Programme Talking Therapies survey. This was co-produced with Wirral Mind's Lived Experience Network and the invaluable support of Liverpool University Psychology students on placement with the team. We are seeking to understand how people find and access support for their mental wellbeing, including NHS Talking Therapies.

NHS Talking Therapies are available to anyone, aged 16+, who needs mental health support for mild to moderate symptoms of depression and/or anxiety. We are keen to better understand people's awareness, perceptions and experiences of these services, including any barriers that may make it more difficult to access support.

Please work though the questions - the survey will take you to the next question when you click the Next button. Depending on your answers, this may skip questions - do not worry if this happens. If you make a mistake and want to change a previous answer, please use the Prev button. The progress bar will show you how much you have completed. The survey should take around ten minutes to complete.

Your views and experiences are extremely valuable. The information collected will help us understand how NHS Talking Therapies services can be developed to ensure they are accessible and inclusive for everyone, including groups who are currently under-represented.

We hope you feel able to take part and share your experiences to support this important piece of work.
