1. Introduction
ChamberRVA has partnered with Ford NGL (Ford Next Generation Learning) to lay the groundwork for shifting some of our region’s high schools to a “career academy” model. To do this, we need to know what types of jobs local employers are hiring for and what qualifications they’re looking for in a successful hire. This survey will help us shape any future career academies so that they are effective and beneficial for everyone involved – so that students learn the skills that will prepare them for what's next and employers gain a pipeline of qualified workers.
