I believe downtown is beginning to deteriorate into a retail desert and that if we had more foot traffic, there would be less gathering of the homeless. I also believe downtown can be revived with traffic calming to encourage easier access, parking and walkability, which in turn would attract more patrons and more exciting retail.
3.I believe we have a thriving downtown. I visit regularly for shopping, dining and strolling. Downtown is the heart and soul of Vero Beach and there is no need for traffic calming, wider sidewalks or additional parking.
