INTER PARES presents “From Voting Booths to TikTok Activism: Understanding the Expanded Political Repertoire of Today’s Youth,” the introductory session in its first Roundtable Series. Bringing together both expert and youth perspectives, this roundtable sets the stage for the forthcoming series and outlines the status quo of youth political participation. For youth engagement initiatives to succeed, it is useful to understand the expanded political repertoire of today’s youth as well as corresponding challenges and opportunities that emerge for parliaments.

Join us to discuss who defines meaningful political participation, how youth are challenging conventional cultures and systems of democratic enfranchisement and, importantly, how parliaments can meet young people in these new arenas.
