YEMOYA is an International Artist Residency hosted by the Anitafrika Retreat Centre. The One week residency combines trans-disciplinary arts development with wellness practices for the holistic artistic growth of its participants. Founded in summer 2008 by d'bi.young anitafrika, YEMOYA’s intensive program focuses on the Spiritual, Mental, Communal, Emotional, Economic, Creative and Physical growth of its resident artists, using The Anitafrika Method.

Residencies are grounded in the eight foundational principles of the method: Self-knowledge, Politics, Orality, Language, Rhythm, Urgency, Sacredness and Integrity. YEMOYA International Artist Residency believes in global change through personal change.

Please be advised that should you be accepted, participants are required to be available for the entire course. The residency fee is $2500 with a 50% deposit due upon acceptance into the program and the remainder due three weeks before the residency.
