2018 Alumnae Top Tau Award Criteria and Guidelines
Each alumnae chapter is encouraged to recognize the contributions of one member by selecting her to receive the 2018 Alumnae Top Tau Award.
Each alumnae chapter is encouraged to recognize the contributions of one member by selecting her to receive the 2018 Alumnae Top Tau Award.
This award, presented annually to one alumnae member from each alumnae chapter, recognizes a member for her outstanding impact in the areas of chapter contributions, community activities, and contributions to the Sorority. Members must meet the requirements of a member in good standing.
Criteria for Nomination and Selection
• Alumnae Chapter Involvement and Leadership – The alumnae member should be active and involved in alumnae chapter activities and should have demonstrated her capacity as a leader. Consider both the quality of her contributions and her performance in chapter activities.
• Community Involvement – The alumnae member should also be involved in activities and organizations outside the Sorority. Alpha Sigma Tau alumnae are mothers, professionals, volunteers, and friends. Top Tau candidates are active in their communities and are enriched by their membership and involvement in other organizations and networks.
• Represents the Values and Ideals of the Sorority – The alumnae member’s actions, words and deeds should represent the ideals of the Sorority. The member must also be in good standing with the National Organization. The candidate is well respected by her peers, her fellow chapter members, and her friends; she is a role model and mentor for others.

All nominations are due April 16, 2018. After nominations are received, ballots with the nominees will be sent to the active members of the Southeastern Louisiana Alumnae Chapter in good standing for final voting on our Top Tau recipient.
