Here is some information about our old building from the 2017 SCHOOL FACILITIES ASSESSMENT REPORT & MASTER PLANNING:

Ongoing Maintenance Costs -- if building is empty and not used
Current Annual costs:
Natural Gas Usage  $15,600
Electric Usage  $6,000
Insurance  $6,600
Other costs include safety inspections and some maintenance
Estimated annual cost = $28,000 to $35,000

Upgrade to meet current building codes and safety standards -- for future use of building
Structural assessment
Upgrade fire alarms
Abatement of all asbestos ($55,235)
Potential unanticipated repairs
Estimated cost = $7.96 million

Replacement Cost
If the district was to construct an exact duplicate of the old building:
Replacement Cost = $11.85 million

Demolition Cost = $163,000
