North Powder Charter School is using this survey to gather input from the community about our old middle/high school facility as we move forward with plans on what to do with this building.

Here is some information about our old building from the 2017 SCHOOL FACILITIES ASSESSMENT REPORT & MASTER PLANNING:

Ongoing Maintenance Costs -- if building is empty and not used
Current Annual costs:
Natural Gas Usage $15,600
Electric Usage $6,000
Insurance $6,600
Other costs include safety inspections and some maintenance
Estimated annual cost = $28,000 to $35,000

Upgrade to meet current building codes and safety standards -- for future use of building
Structural assessment
Upgrade fire alarms
Abatement of all asbestos ($55,235)
Potential unanticipated repairs
Estimated cost = $7.96 million

Replacement Cost
If the district was to construct an exact duplicate of the old building:
Replacement Cost = $11.85 million

Demolition Cost = $163,000
