Introduction

State Route 87, from milepost 191 (Ft. McDowell Road) to milepost 250 (Green Valley Parkway), serves freight, tourism, and recreation mobility needs and connects the Phoenix metropolitan area to the northeast region of the state. The corridor serves intrastate, interstate, and international commerce, as well as access to popular recreational areas.

The SR 87 Corridor Development Study, being conducted by ADOT, will identify potential projects to improve safety and mobility along the corridor.  Possible projects may include climbing and passing lanes, rock fill mitigation, shoulder improvements, median improvements, and travel information systems.

We want your input on the transportation needs for this corridor.  Your input will help us identify priorities for implementing transportation improvements in the future.
