7 Rivers Alliance Regional Housing Consortium
Employers Workforce Housing Survey
October 2025

Objectives: This survey is intended to provide local and regional leaders and decision-makers with relevant, actionable information related to the region’s need for affordable workforce housing. More specifically, the survey will help us improve the region’s workforce recruitment and retention efforts by achieving a better understanding of the need and greater alignment between the workforce shortages the region faces and the housing required to address those needs.

Type of information being sought: The survey seeks demographic data related to the people employers have hired over the previous 12 months (October 1, 2024 – September 30, 2025); the workers they need for current job openings; and the sort of workers they need in 2026-27. There may be a question you cannot answer, but do your best. We know that some of the invited respondents will have this information at their fingertips, while others will have HR professionals who can provide them with the information requested. Either approach is fine. We appreciate your cooperation to get us the information that only you have that is needed for this effort.

Please Note: All responses will be anonymous. Major employer executives and board members from the region’s chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, and civic groups will be invited to complete the survey but will not at any time be asked to identify themselves or the company, institution or organization they represent.
