Callout for ASU VIC TAS Election Volunteers...

Don't Risk Dutton!

Peter Dutton and the Coalition pose a threat to workers and the hard-fought industrial reforms secured by the union movement from the Federal Labor Government.

ASU Members have achieved significantly improved working conditions utilising the new laws, including Flexible Working Arrangement rights, Multi-Employer Bargaining laws, Delegates Rights, Right to Disconnect, Gender Equity provisions and Same Job Same Pay protections.

There is more reform to achieve such as the right to strike but these reforms have been significant and must be protected. The Coalition has made statements that suggest if elected, these reforms will be repealed.

You can get involved with the election effort to keep Dutton out, through any or all of the following: train station blitzes, phone banking, street stalls, door knocks, pre-poll and election day at the polling booths and more!

All activities include a briefing or training and will be alongside ASU officials and other activists, so if you haven’t done this before, you’re in good hands.

We’ll have a limited number of “Don’t Risk Dutton” tee-shirts for volunteers pitching in – first in (literally) best dressed!
If you’re keen to get involved, fill in our quick survey and we’ll match you up with activities convenient for you.
