Introduction to Survey

Dear Canadian General Surgeon

The purpose of this survey is to gain a snapshot of current practice patterns, as well as a needs assessment, specific to the surgical care of children by Canadian General Surgeons.  This survey will be a first step in a collaborative project between CAGS and the Canadian Association of Pediatric Surgeons (CAPS) that will seek to explore opportunities for enhancing the quality of surgical care for children, a project which aligns with CAGS’ and CAPS’ national surgical quality improvement strategy.  Other stakeholders who have reviewed and provided input into this survey are the RCPSC Directors of Education and Professional Practice and Membership and the Specialty Committee chairs for both General Surgery and Pediatric Surgery.

We estimate that the survey will take 10 minutes to complete.  The survey results, and any collaborative project work supported by the survey will be made available to CAGS members.

In an effort to optimize our survey response rate, we are offering five $50 Visa gift cards to randomly drawn survey respondents.  To be eligible for the draw, please enter your email address in the box at the end of this survey.

We thank you in advance for taking time to complete this survey.
