The purpose of the Awards Program is to encourage and celebrate the creation and use of Open Educational Resources (OER) across the state of West Virginia. To that end, the Commission and Council have established four statewide awards recognizing individuals whose commitment to OER is making courses more innovative and higher education more affordable. These awards are presented annually at the Spring Open Learning WV Program meeting.
