Travis County - PY24-28 Fair Housing Assessment

Travis County, as well as many other jurisdictions in the Austin-Round Rock Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) are in the midst of the 5-year Consolidated Plan (“ConPlan”) activities. In honor of fair housing month, in April 2024, Travis County and other central Texas jurisdictions will be conducting this survey and hosting at least one public hearing as well as a community engagement effort to conduct an assessment of housing and homeless needs so we may understand how better to meet the needs of citizens within the region.

Therefore, the Travis County CDBG Office is seeking the input of residents within the Travis County CDBG service area jurisdiction, as well as residents from the central Texas region, allow us to:

Assess the access to safe, decent, and affordable housing.
Help us understand and analyze impediments to fair housing.
Identify and address areas of deficiencies, including but not limited to patterns discrimination, patterns of segregation, lack of access to opportunity, and lack of efforts made to address language and other access barriers.
