DESCRIPTIVE SUMMARY: The following is a statement in nontechnical language of the substance and purpose of the proposed rulemaking:
When the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) was reauthorized to the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) in December 2015, AMAOs were made obsolete by a new accountability structure. This rulemaking action removes references to AMAOs from IDAPA 08.02.03, Rules Governing Thoroughness.
