2026 Graduate Student-Led CHAS Programming

The ACS Office of Safety Programs, in conjunction with CHAS (ACS Division of Chemical Health & Safety), is currently gauging interest from graduate students in being involved with chemical safety programming at the 2026 Spring and Fall National Meetings. We are looking for 1) the names and contact information of graduate students interested in serving as organizers/presiders over a chemical safety symposium at one of these National Meetings, and 2) symposium ideas. We are especially looking for symposium ideas that could lead to collaboration with one or more other ACS entities, such as multiple divisions and/or committees.

You do not have to be interested in serving as a symposium organizer/presider in order to provide ideas, and you also do not have to have an idea to be interested in serving as an organizer/presider!

Thank you!
1.Please provide your name and email address.
2.Are you interested in serving as a symposium organizer/presider for a 2026 National Meeting? You would be working in a pair or small group with other graduate students and would have a mentor from CHAS working with you.
3.What idea(s) do you have for chemical safety symposia at the 2026 National Meetings? Please provide a title and brief explanation for each idea.
