To battle and adapt to climate change, the Town has its own areas of jurisdiction, including urban planning regulations, waste collection, maintenance and management of local infrastructure (streets, parks, etc.), and management of sports, leisure, cultural and social development services. With these competencies, the Town can act locally on a range of issues.
