LeadingAge Michigan (LMI) is excited to celebrate the stories of our members. Each year LMI celebrates employees, volunteers, residents, programs, innovative initiatives, and best practices that have made a significant difference in the lives of others through the LMI Member Awards. 

THREE SUBMISSION OPTIONS – Nominators are asked to complete a short nomination profile via Survey Monkey and have the option to copy and paste the nominee's story, upload a nomination packet, or be interviewed virtually. The Review Committee will see the unedited submissions, and all submission types will be weighted equally. There are three methods for telling a nominee's story:
  • Copy and Paste - Nominators may copy and paste or free write the nominee's story into the nomination survey. They are encouraged to follow a list of potential interview topics and questions for each award. This method does NOT allow for much formatting or photos and is limited to 2,000 characters.
  • Nomination Packet – The nomination packet may include text and photos to tell the nominee's story. Elaborating on the potential interview topics and questions in the nomination packet is strongly encouraged. Nomination packets must be submitted as a a PDF, DOC, or DOCX and are limited to 2 pages and 16 MB. Each nomination packet must include the nominee's name, title, and award category.
  • Virtual Interview – Nominator interviews will take place virtually and will take up to 15 minutes. They will be recorded and must take place before October 31, 2022, at noon. Each award has a list of potential interview topics and questions. Recorded interviews will be made available to the Review Committee for consideration. Following submission, the Awards Committee will review applications and offer a list of award recipients. Association staff will contact award winners and certificate of merit recipients. An awards video filmed late winter/early spring will feature award winners. 

The 2023 Annual Conference Awards Gala, scheduled for May 14 - 17, 2023, in Kalamazoo, MI, will recognize the 2023 award recipients. All unselected nominees will receive a Certificate of Merit by mail in the spring to recognize their distinct achievements.

Nominations are due by 11:59 pm on October 31, 2022.
