Blight is any visible sign of disrepair or neglect that makes a neighborhood look and feel as if it is on the decline. Blight can include illegal dumping, illegal signs or markings, overgrown grass or plants, abandoned or unkempt buildings, litter or trash, or even loitering (human blight). Blight damages our neighborhoods by keeping desirable businesses and homeowners from moving in.

The purpose of this 10-minute survey is to get community input on the most pressing blight cases in Arlington, so that neighbors and the city can work in partnership to address them and improve our community. We are defining Arlington as City of Jacksonville District 1 (see map below).
