Welcome

Thank you for your interest in applying to Alternative Spring Break.

All applications will be name-blind throughout the placements process - meaning that Site Leaders will not have access to your personal information (name, phone number, address). The purpose of this application is not to be selective, but to give us a better idea of who you are, so that we can put together diverse groups of students that will bring different experiences and perspectives to their trips. If you are applying for financial aid, you will fill that information out at the end of this application.

Before beginning the application please read the trip descriptions at: http://www.altbreak.org

All applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on Saturday, October 30, 2021. You may only complete one application, and you may not edit your answers after its submission. The application should be completed in one sitting. The application requires personal information as well as three short essay questions designed to give you an opportunity to showcase your personality and passions. In order to gauge the time you may need to complete the application, you may seek to review the essay questions, which are listed below.

If you are applying to an Alternative Spring Break trip, please make your best attempt to leave the hours of 7:00-8:00 PM free on Wednesday, November 17th free for our first official meeting should you be chosen for a trip.

If you have any questions about the application process, contact the placement chairs, Meredith Christian and Aarti Sakhuja,
at altbreak.placements@gmail.com
