Impact Survey (updated October 2025)

Fill out this form to help AASLH better understand—and draw attention to—the impact of recent government actions and/or the current political environment on the history field. Specific stories of local impact shape the direction of AASLH's advocacy work and may (with your permission) inform legal, legislative, media, and other strategies in support of the history community. All responses will be kept strictly confidential unless you provide us with permission to use your submission. We ask for your email address in case AASLH staff or relevant partners want to follow up; that field is optional, but if you fill it out, please use an email address from which you are comfortable corresponding about these issues.

Please note: Due to the volume of responses, we are unable to reply to each submission. Please know that your response is being reviewed by AASLH staff and that by filling out this survey you are aiding our efforts to defend the field.
