Initial Accreditation Workshop, 2015 Standards
Saturday, September 14, 2019
8:00 am – 5:00 pm
The Initial Accreditation Workshop is an in-depth educational seminar designed to help organizations prepare to apply for Initial Accreditation through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Programs (CAAHEP). It is designed for Program Directors or other institutional representatives who are planning to apply for or are in the early stages of building or transforming a medical assisting program for CAAHEP Initial Accreditation. The workshop will focus on the 2015 CAAHEP Standards and Guidelines for Medical Assisting Educational Programs. In addition, the workshop will cover briefly the requirements focused on the MAERB Core Curriculum and provide an overview of the Initial Accreditation Self-Study Template.
If you have attended the Initial Accreditation Workshop previously, it is important to know that the substance has not changed, even though there are always a few tweaks. If a program wants to send two people, the second person will be put on a waiting list and informed if there is space available.
