APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Please note that you cannot save your progress in this application. We encourage you to save your responses in a separate document to ensure you don't lose your work.
 
We are excited to offer four different weeks of Learning to Lead™ in 2022 (dates below). Please note that successful applicants are selected to attend one of the program weeks. Students are welcome to apply to any of the program weeks. There is an increased chance of being selected if you are able to attend any of the four program weeks. 

You will have the option of providing written responses in the text boxes below, OR submitting a video of yourself sharing these responses verbally. If you choose to submit a video, please use WeTransfer to upload your video and paste the link in the appropriate text box below. Please note that your video will not be made public and will only be viewed by the selection committee. Acceptance
Acceptances will be made on a rolling basis. Get your application in early to save your spot!
All applicants will be informed of selections by mid-April. Confirmation of participation is required by late April.

2022 Program Dates (all times in PT)
Group 1: Tuesdays, 3:30-5:30pm (May 3, 10, 17, 24)
Group 2: Wednesdays, 6-8pm (May 4, 11, 18, 25)
Group 3: Thursdays, 6-8pm (June 2, 9, 16, 23)
Group 4: Mondays 3:30-5:30pm (June 6, 13, 20, 27)

Please note that in order to participate, you must be able to attend all four days of the program. This is an invitation to fully devote four evenings to your own learning, growth, and fun!

The ongoing process of truth and reconciliation between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples is an integral part of all of Minerva BC’s work. Opportunities for conversation about this process as well as the complex nature of the intersectionality of diversity is an integral part of the Learning to Lead™ program. All participants are asked to enter these conversations with an open and respectful heart and mind.

If selected for Learning to Lead™, you could also be eligible for SHAD, a prestigious annual event that brings together 900 students from across Canada and internationally to attend a month-long summer program focused on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math). The main criteria for SHAD participation is intellectual curiosity. Would you describe yourself as intellectually curious? And would you like to be considered for this opportunity? If yes, please note that your application will be shared with a representative from SHAD.
