Women with Professional Pilot Certifications and Ratings

The Goal of this Survey

Hera Aviation Group created this survey in an effort to better understand women's journey through aviation. With your responses, we hope to understand the time it takes for a woman to earn an ATP certification and if she faces any barriers toward earning that certification due to demands of caregiving. We appreciate your time and thank you for participating in this anonymous survey.
1.What is the highest pilot certification you currently hold?
2.If you hold a private pilot's certification or higher, how long did it take you to earn your private certification from a student certification?
3.If you hold a commercial pilot's certification or higher, how long did it take you to earn your commercial certification from a private certification?
4.If you hold an ATP certification or higher, how long did it take you to earn your ATP certification from a commercial certification?
5.Have you ever taken a break in your educational or professional journey in order to be a caregiver? Hera defines caregiving as providing childcare, sibling care, parental or elderly care, spousal care, or full or part time daily living care for a family member or loved one.
6.If you have taken a break from your educational or professional journey for caregiving, how long was your break? Select all that apply. If you have taken more than one break due to separate caregiving experiences at separate times, please add up the total time spent on break due to caregiving.
7.If you have taken a break from your educational or professional journey for caregiving, how old were you when you left aviation to begin your break?
