Over the last year, Gov. Malloy has talked about improving our state's transportation grid through his 30-year, $100 billion Let's Go CT! initiative. A panel was created to recommend ways to generate Special Transportation Fund revenue to pay for some of the governor's "key preservation and repair projects," such as I-84 viaducts in Hartford and Waterbury.
The panel released its findings in mid-January, and they provide a contrast to funding options my colleagues and I have offered.
