Why another survey?

In our ongoing efforts to renew the promise of public education the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) is highlighting the role of career and technical education (CTE)in improving college and career readiness for all students. We want to identify and feature the great work our CTE teachers are doing so please assist us in identifying the CTE programs you teach in by filling out this survey. We will compile the information then use it in our publications and briefings to argue for expanded funding as Congress considers the reauthorization of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act — the sole piece of federal legislation which supports CTE programs in the United States. Thank you for your time and cooperation.

The U.S. Department of Labor defines a Career/Technical Education Teacher as one who teaches "occupational, career and technical, or vocational subjects."
