The Surf Life Saving Sydney (SLSS) Surf Sports Committee would appreciate your time to complete the following survey.  It will assist us in understanding what we do well and what can be improved. There are a number of different sections, only fill out the ones that are relevant to you.

5.In general are you happy with the branch nippers carnival offering (Cronulla, South Maroubra, Ohana, North Cronulla, Wanda, Aust Day Iron, district carnivals and Branch Championships)?
6.In general are you happy with the Branch Opens carnival offering (Cronulla, Wanda, Coogee and Branch Championships)?
7.In general are you happy with the Branch Masters carnival offering (Elouera, Cronulla, Wanda, Coogee and Branch Championships)?
8.Are all categories of athletes catered for in the season?
9.Should SLSS look to conduct other specialist events eg. pool rescue competition, Board, Ski or Beach only Carnivals?
SYDNEY BRANCH CHAMPIONSHIPS
10.Would you like to see a perpetual trophy for the winner of the club points at the SLSS Branch Championships?
11.Do you think the SLSS Junior Branch Championships should have a point score?
12.Do you think the traditional 6 man Taplin should be replaced with a mixed 6 person Taplin (3 male, 3 female)?
13.How could we run the Branch Championships better?
This coming season we are intending to TRIAL the re-inclusion of the Masters and Lifesaving events in the Branch Open Championship carnival.
We will seek feedback on this post the event.
Patrol competition will remain at the Coogee carnival (TBC)
IRB:
14.Can SLSS improve on how the IRB roster works for branch carnivals?
15.Are you interested in participating in a can laying course?
(The Branch is currently under resourced in these skills and is planning to hold a course on 13th October)
R&R / MARCH PAST:
16.Are you interested in becoming  involved or a competitor in either R&R or March Past?
17.Are you happy to continue early morning starts (i.e. 6-7am) for Junior R&R at carnivals?
18.Would you prefer March Past to be conducted at either approximately (tick one only)

Our athletes can only thrive with committed and skilled coaches and excellent coaching.

On the Surf Sports Committee we now have a member who is responsible for helping with re-accreditation and can help you understand what needs to be done to become a coach.

OFFICIATING:
SLSS has a strong history of producing leading SLSA officials.

Our competitions can only be as good as the officials on the beach.
