Proposed Vacationing Development in Naskapi Area of Primary Interest

To inform the Naskapi Nation’s decision on whether to support two proposed private vacationing development areas in the Naskapi Area of Primary Interest.

• The Government of Quebec is reviewing its Regional Plan for Public Land Development – Recreational Tourism Section for the Côte-Nord region.

• If the Nation supports this development, it must decide which lakes should be preserved, and which lakes should be developed through private vacationing leases.
