Norfolk Island Regional Council Household Expenditure Survey |
Confidential
The data you provide will be used for statistical purposes only.
(Collected under the Norfolk Island Retail Price Index Act 1983 (NI)).
The Norfolk Island Regional Council would like to thank you for taking the time to be a part of the Household Expenditure Survey. By completing the survey, you will enable the construction of an average Norfolk Island “basket of goods” which will be used for ongoing measurement of inflation on Norfolk Island. It is important to complete the survey as accurately as possible. The last time the Household Expenditure Survey was done on Norfolk Island was 2014 and the data needs to be updated as spending habits have changed. Most jurisdictions do a new Household Expenditure Survey every 5-7 years. Data will be received anonymously and no individual responses will be available. The final weighted average “basket of goods” will be made public.
The Survey Process
This survey questionnaire is the second part of the Household Expenditure Survey, following the Expenditure Diary, which was available online last week.
One person from each household who is over 18 years and responsible for the household members is requested to complete this survey questionnaire. It asks about household characteristics (number of household members, ages, etc.) and total spending on certain categories of goods and services (e.g., food and beverages, transportation, etc.).
The survey questionnaire will be online from 12 February to 16 February.
Thank you for agreeing to participate in this survey!
