The treatment of opioid dependence in Newfoundland and Labrador requires comprehensive supports and partnerships. Pharmacists are a significant partner in the provision of opioid agonist maintenance treatment (OAMT).

A key objective of the provincial Opioid Dependence Treatment Working Group established by the Department of Health and Community Services is to improve access to treatment across Newfoundland and Labrador. Currently, approximately one third of community pharmacies are registered with the Newfoundland and Labrador Pharmacy Board to provide OAMT services.

The purpose of this survey is to explore the views of pharmacists regarding the provision of OAMT services and to seek suggestions for potential solutions to increase access, address existing issues, and enhance capacity for OAMT.

The survey will take approximately 5 - 10 minutes to complete. Participation in the survey is voluntary and all responses will be kept confidential.

Thank you in advance for your participation. Your feedback will help inform our continued work on opioid dependence treatment services. Submissions will be accepted up to November 9, 2018.
