Fire Services Master Plan

The Collingwood Fire Department (CFD) has a proud tradition of assisting residents and effectively responding to emergencies.

The Fire Department consists of a team of dedicated full-time and volunteer personnel that responds to emergencies and calls for assistance.

In our ongoing efforts to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our community, we are creating a 10-year community-driven Fire Services Master Plan to guide operational improvements and enhance service delivery throughout the community.

The objective of the Master Plan is to examine, research, and review all aspects of the Fire Department operations, planning, fire prevention, training and education, communications, apparatus and equipment, maintenance, human resources, station suitability (accommodations), budgets, and large-scale emergency preparedness.

To accomplish this, we have engaged the Emergency Management Group (EMG) to assist us with this initiative. EMG is a consulting firm that has worked with many fire departments in developing their master fire plans, station assessments, and fire service reviews.

To successfully gather feedback, we ask that you take the time to complete this survey. Your confidential responses will help to ensure focused action that continues to meet the diverse needs of all residents.

Please complete the survey by August 31st, 2023.
