After participating in this session, participants will be able to:
- Recognize and analyze microaggressions and power dynamics during complex intraoperative interactions and propose context-sensitive communication strategies to support colleagues and promote psychological safety in the OR.
- Analyze the impact of microaggressions and intersectional dynamics in operating room interactions, and develop communication approaches that mitigate harm and promote psychological safety for all team members.
- Apply practical allyship strategies, including reframing techniques and real-time interventions, to foster more inclusive, respectful, and equitable team communication within high-stakes clinical environments.
