Welcome to the YCAS Climbers Survey!

Welcome to the Yukon Climbing Access Society (YCAS) outdoor climber survey!

YCAS is seeking input from those who participate or have participated in outdoor climbing activities to:

o   help us better understand our Yukon climbing community;

o   help us provide a collective and strong voice for our Yukon outdoor climbing community;

o   help us develop partnerships with governments and Yukon First Nations (given that most climbing sites are located on Yukon, City of Whitehorse, or Yukon First Nation Traditional Territory land) to ensure respectful access and climbing practices by outdoor climbers.

Please answer the following questions as accurately as possible. Estimated time to complete is 10 minutes or less.

Please note that your response will be treated with absolute confidentiality; all survey results will be summarized by an independent consultant (www.strategynorth.com).

The deadline to complete this survey is January 30, 2018. The survey results will be posted online later in the spring.

At the survey’s end, there is an opportunity to provide your name and contact information. This is solely for the purpose of entering you in a draw for Mountain Equipment Co-op (MEC) gift cards.

Thank you for your time and patience, your feedback is extremely important!

About the Yukon Climbing Access Society

The YCAS was established in 2017 in order to bring together and give voice to Yukon’s outdoor climbing community. A key YCAS function is to advocate for and facilitate low-impact, environmentally sensitive public access to climbing sites in Yukon. YCAS believes in close and meaningful collaboration with land owners, climbers and other user groups to ensure the responsible use of climbing and back country areas.
