Was your Postgraduate / Super specialty Training program worth it ?

NMC has recently published in Aug 2024 the new “Minimum Standard of Requirements for Post-graduate Courses” . We feel that feedback from those who have completed the course from that college is an essential requirement. For this we need concrete data which can be presented to NMC and later if needed to courts
1.What is the Postgraduate / Superspecialty medical qualification obtained by you(Required.)
2.Institution from which the degree or diploma was obtained
3.Year since completion of your highest qualification MD/MS/DM/MCh/DNB/DrNB/Diploma
4.Quality of academic teaching Score on scale of 1-10(Required.)
5.Quality of variety of clinical material in terms of patients exposed to. Score on scale of 1-10:(Required.)
6.Quality of hands on procedural / surgical training .Score on a scale of 1-10 (10 being highest quality)(Required.)
7.Could you perform atleast 3 commonest procedures/surgeries related to your specialty or superspecialty independently immediately after completion of your course(Required.)
8.Did you feel you needed to undergo further training after completing your highest NMC recognized qualification MD/MS/DM/MCh/DNB/DrNB/Diploma(Required.)
9.What is your age(Required.)
10.Do you consider a Fellowship in your specialty which is not NMC recognized as proof of being a specialist(Required.)
11.Should National Medical Commission take feed back from recent post graduates before giving permission for continuation of recognition of the medical college for PG seats in that particular department.(Required.)
12.Do you consider it necessary for an MBBS doctor in India to do Postgraduation ?(Required.)
13.How long were you unemployed (while preparing for PG/DM/MCh) since the time of completion of your MBBS Internship;(Required.)

16.Sould a superspecialist DM/MCh/DrNB treat patients related to his specialty or should he restrict himself to treat only patients of his superspeciality. eg Should DM Gastroenterology treat Diabetes, or Should a MCh urology do laproscopic cholecystectomy.(Required.)
