Nestled in a wildflower meadow on Summerdown's working peppermint farm in North Hampshire, your stay includes organic cotton bedding, a welcome basket filled with local produce and your own private wood-fired hot tub beneath the stars. Spend your days exploring the peaceful surroundings, dining alfresco and unwinding in nature before gathering around the fire pit and retreating to your cosy shepherd's hut for a perfect night's sleep.

For almost 30 years, Summerdown has been growing, harvesting and distilling Black Mitcham peppermint to produce its exceptionally aromatic, barrel-aged peppermint oil. Today, around 70 acres of English peppermint are grown on the farm, with every plant descended from the original cuttings.

The oil is used across Summerdown's award-winning range of chocolates, teas, candles, diffusers and more, and visitors can even join a farm tour to discover the story behind this unique Hampshire business.

Prize: A two-night, midweek stay (Monday to Thursday, date to be agreed with winner) for two
The shepherd’s hut stays are an adult only location – no children. The huts are accessed via uneven ground and up a small set of steps
Prize is subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice. There are no cash alternatives
The two night stay must be redeemed by 22nd December 2026
Winner is responsible for own travel
Closing date: 11.30pm Thursday 30 July 2026. The winner will be notified on Friday 31 July 2026 using the contact details provided. The winner will have 48 hours to respond, if they do not respond within this time Hampshire Fare reserves the right to redraw a new winner
