Participant Information and Consent
Purpose of the Survey
You are invited to participate in an anonymous survey about how Ontario teachers engage with third-party science educators in their classrooms. The goal is to better understand teachers’ needs, preferences, and experiences when welcoming external science presenters. This information will help a University of Toronto student team develop informed project proposals related to educational programming at the Ontario Science Centre.
Who Is Conducting This Survey
This survey is conducted independently by three Master of Museum Studies candidates in the MSL4000 Museum Studies Capstone Course (2025–2026) at the University of Toronto. It is not administered by the Ontario Science Centre. Insights from this survey will be summarized and shared with Ontario Science Centre staff as part of the students’ project.
Use of Responses
Your responses will be used for academic purposes within the MSL4000 course, including a class report shared only with course instructors and students in the course. A summarized version of findings may also be discussed internally with Ontario Science Centre staff to support program planning ideas. Individual responses will not be shared or published.
Anonymity and Confidentiality
The survey does not collect names, email addresses, or other identifying information. Please avoid including any details that could identify you or your school. Results will be presented only in aggregate or summary form.
Voluntary Participation
Participation is voluntary. You may skip any question or exit the survey at any time before submitting it. Submitting your completed survey indicates your consent to participate. Estimated time to complete the survey is approximately 15 minutes.
Optional Prize Draw
To thank participants for their time, we are offering a chance to win one of ten (10) $15 Tim Hortons e-gift cards. Participation in the prize draw is entirely optional and will not affect your survey responses in any way. To enter, you may provide your email address on a separate form that will appear after you submit your survey. Email addresses will be stored separately and cannot be linked to your survey answers, ensuring your responses remain anonymous.
