Aleyda Mas Park Program and Activity Survey

Help Shape the Future of Recreation at Aleyda Mas Park! We want to hear from you! The Pinecrest Parks and Recreation Department is exploring exciting opportunities to expand and enhance adult recreation experiences at Aleyda Mas Park, and your feedback will help guide the future of the park. Whether you are interested in fitness, wellness, social activities, outdoor recreation, cultural programming, or simply having more ways to connect with others in the community, your input is essential. This Recreation Needs Assessment Survey is designed to better understand the community’s interests, priorities, and ideas for adults ages 18 and older. The survey also explores each recreational area within the park to help ensure every space is used in a way that best reflects the needs and wants of the community. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey by Friday, August 7, 2026. As a thank you for participating, respondents will be entered into a drawing to win one of three pairs of tickets to the Pinecrest Zombie Run this October! (Limit one entry per person.) Together, we can create vibrant recreational experiences that bring people together, support healthy lifestyles, and make Aleyda Mas Park a welcoming destination for our community. Your voice truly makes a difference!
About Aleyda Mas Park
Nestled in the heart of Pinecrest, Aleyda Mas Park is a serene five-acre community destination designed to bring residents together through nature, recreation, and meaningful experiences. Surrounded by lush tropical landscaping, exotic trees, tranquil walking trails, and a peaceful lagoon, the park offers a scenic retreat where visitors can relax, connect, and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. Expansive green spaces, a picturesque great lawn, and shaded gathering areas create the perfect setting for leisure, wellness, and community engagement.

Thoughtfully planned renovations will further enhance the park experience with ADA-accessible walking paths, ample bicycle parking, an inviting outdoor patio and tiki hut, and the transformation of the estate home into a welcoming indoor leisure space for classes, workshops, lectures, meetings, clinics, and social gatherings. Rich in horticultural history, the property was once owned by the Montgomery family, founders of Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, making the park a unique blend of natural beauty, community connection, and cultural significance for generations to enjoy.
