As GLI begins setting its federal policy priorities for 2019-2020, WE NEED YOUR INPUT! Your answers to the questions below will help GLI's Public Policy Council, Board of Directors, and staff to prioritize federal issues and better understand how federal policy impacts businesses in our region.

1.What level of priority should GLI make its opposition to tariffs and other restrictions on free trade?
2.In January 2019, GLI joined a coalition urging an end to the government shutdown due to the harm it was causing to economic growth. Do you agree or disagree with GLI's position on this issue?
3.How, if at all, is the accumulation of federal debt affecting long-range planning for your business?
4.What level of priority should GLI make its support for criminal justice reform efforts at the federal level that aim to reduce incarceration rates and encourage rehabilitation?
5.GLI supports immigration policies that ensure our region can continue attracting talent from around the world and opposes policies that restrict the ability of employers to find the workers they need. Do you agree or disagree with GLI's stance on this issue?
6.What level of priority should GLI make the repeal of taxes established by the Affordable Care Act - such as the Health Insurance Tax, the "Cadillac Tax," and the Medical Device Tax?
