About the project

YACWA is thankful to have received funding from the Department of Communities to deliver Statewide training and support to Local Government Areas (LGAs) on the topic of developing, reviewing and rolling out best practice Youth Action Plans (YAP). • How to facilitate effective and inclusive consultation with young people and community
  • Best practice youth co-design
  • How to implement a peer researcher consultation model
  • A suggested framework for good YAP design
  • How to create a youth-friendly version of your YAP
  • Tips and tricks for youth-friendly communications
At least four training sessions will be delivered between September 2026 through to May 2027, with at least two being online.

This form is an opportunity for you to give your input into the content of our trainings and to express your interest in staying up to date on the project. The form will be open until 21st of August 2026.

Note: We have used the term Youth Action Plans, but this could also mean Strategies, Frameworks and other documentation that supports strategic planning to meet the needs of your youth population in the coming years.
